About me

My name is Kat Bedwell and I have been teaching Yoga to children and young people since April 2021.

I love to listen to music, dance, practice Yoga, walk my dog Lenny, go to the theatre and spend time with my family and friends.

I found Yoga myself in 2019 after having my two children. It has had numerous physical and mental benefits for me and I wanted to share this with others.

I am a Paediatric Occupational Therapist for the NHS and have been for the past 14 years. This was my full time occupation until I had my children. I then decided to work in this role on a part time basis so that I could be more present for my children.

Due to my personal experience with Yoga and already working with children as an Occupational Therapist, I decided to start my Yoga training journey with a Children's teaching course. I completed this in September/October 2020 with 'Children Do Yoga'. I thoroughly enjoyed this and couldn't wait to start teaching. Covid-19 restrictions didn't allow me to do this until April 2021. I love to learn and have completed short courses following this with Peaceful Babes and Udemy. I also enjoy attending webinars to get new and fresh ideas for my classes.

I wanted to advance my own Yoga practice further, so in May 2021 I decided to complete a virtual 200h Adult Yoga course with My Vinyasa Practice. I finished completing this in October 2021.

I am registered with ‘Yoga Alliance Professionals’. Please click here to view my online profile.

Kat's children's yoga classes are wonderful, we look forward to them every week. Kat has such a great way of making yoga and breathing exercises fun for little ones, we love Yoga Robins!’
